1) Art Sculpture tour by bicycle (2007) This video starts off riding past the "Steampunk Treehouse" and on over to a "Money Tower" and ends up at a rotating green and purple thing. (You have to see the video to understand it.) The particularly neat thing about this video is that it was very shaky because it was shot on a bike. After running it through a de-shake filter, it actually looks pretty smooth and watchable. 2) Massive dust devil (2006) Watching this insanely large dust devil work its way across the desert floor was pure astonishment. The video is only about a minute long, but there is no doubt that everyone just stood around and watched it for a solid 15 minutes. Then it changed directions and started coming right towards our camp. The "dust storm" lasted for 5 - 10 minutes as the dust devil took its merry old time moving through our space. (Unfortunately, I was too busy at the time securing our camp to get any video of that...) 3) Break-down of Outpost Autosub (2006) This 1-minute long video is pure spontaneity. It was Sunday after the Man had burned and the camp was busy breaking down our public area when we heard a groovy song nearby and everyone just started dancing. And Buckland said it best, "I love this f'ing place!!!" 4) Solar powered rover (2004) From what I remember, there were 9 of these little solar powered "alien" rovers at Burning Man 2004. If you had a "close encounter" with one of them (as I did), you were supposed to go visit the National Alien Support Authority (NASA) and you would be "rewarded", supposedly... There is a funny surprise at the end of the video, too. |

Turns out I actually have a bunch of Burning Man videos from years past already online on YouTube. Most of them are tours of the art or our camp, but a few of them are spontaneous videos that just happened. Here are a bunch of my favorites...
